Christina studied at the Royal Academy of Music with Joanna MacGregor, she has since performed internationally and has appeared on BBC Radio 3, Radio 4 and Classic FM.
A truly creative spirit, she has collaborated with numerous artists and industries, including visual artists, DJ and sleep expert Tom Middleton, folk musician Peggy Seeger and recently with NWLive for the Belonging Project in an ensemble for oud, percussion, piano, lute alongside poets. She has also composed and on music and words collaboration for a film on sustainability by Mary McCartney
Christina has performed at leading venues/festivals including Cheltenham, Aldeburgh, QEH and worked with composers such as Harrison Birtwistle, Tansy Davies, Stephen Montague, Ayanna Witter-Johnson, Freya Waley-Cohen etc. In 2016 Christina was selected as a young artist in residence at St John’s Smith square, and from 2013-17 she curated programmes of multimedia and piano events for The Royal Academy of Music annual Piano Festival. She has been a mentor for Geneva International Music Competition, UNESCO Day of the Girl, and given talks at Universities world wide.
Lie down and Listen
Christina founded Lie down and Listen in 2018 - a meditation and lying down concert experience. It began through a chance meeting and and a scientific experiment to re create the benefits of a hallucinogenic trip - changes in perception of time and enhanced creativity.
